Prior to Retreat

Meet & Greet Video Call (~45 min) with Chelsea & your retreat cohort:

Quick introductions, review of intention setting core questions, Q&A on remaining logistical questions for the retreat, and brief group bonding/hype-up activity

6/7/25

5pm-8pm: Arrive/Check-in

  • Find your retreat goody bag and settle in - you’ve had a long day! Introduce yourself as folks arrive, or take a bit of time to yourself.

  • Set up any clothing swap items you may have brought to contribute

  • Grab some dinner or snacks, and get familiar with the space.

8pm: Welcome with Chelsea

  • Intention setting circle establishing how we can all benefit most from the weekend

  • Pajama party: games, gab, nail bar, snacks, and an optional PowerPoint party* for getting-to-know-you’

  • Lights out: When the first of your roommates is ready to sleep, please retreat to a common area until you’re ready to turn in

6/8/25

8am-9am: Breakfast/AM Routine

  • Family style/DIY

9am: Morning Check-in

  • Establishing direction & setting tone for the day

9:30: Play, Rest, Connect

  • See schedule for full list of possibilities to choose from, including joyful movement, creative expressions stations, book nook, clothes swap, and photo ops. 

11am: Group Share (None must, all may!)

  • Checking in from morning activities

Noon: Lunch
Prep and enjoy!
1pm: Open Options

  • Same options as the morning (naps, board games, and hot tubbing are also celebrated choices)

  • Snack breaks encouraged!

3pm: Body Liberation group discussion OR screening of "Your Fat Friend" with discussion following

  • 1 option to be selected based on majority preference

6pm: Dinner prep/enjoy

  • Wrap up dinner with a playful dessert (s'mores, root beer float, decorate sugar cookies, etc)

7pm: Evening wind down

  • Chill (hot tub, movies*, games, chat, etc)

*Some retreats may include a screening of “Your Fat Friend” following the work of Maintenance Phase's Aubrey Gordon

6/9/25

8am-9am: Breakfast/AM Routine

  • Family style/DIY

  • Pre-pack up for departure after morning workshop (including lunch/snacks!)

9am: Self-Advocacy Workshop

  • We’ll explore a few styles of self-advocacy tools for use in various settings & craft our own personalized versions to take home.

11am: Good-bye's/Departure

  • DIY (but hearty) lunch supplies will be on offer for those wishing to prepare or pack a meal.

Post-Retreat

  • Communication from event organizers, participants, and affiliates
